Police were able to catch a man who is believed to have contacted minor girls with the intent to commit a sexual offense. The man, Coopy Boyer, was arrested on November 24, 2012. The Fullerton police became involved in the case after two teen girls reported to authorities that a man had approached them in Huntington Beach inquiring if they were interested in modeling.

The girls gave him their numbers believing he was a photographer with Zoom Exposure Photography. Over the following days, the suspect sent the girls dozens of suggestive texts about the type of photographs he wanted to take. One text even suggested the girls bring alcohol and allow him to take photos of them playing dress-up. When the girls suggested that their parents accompany them to sign any necessary waivers he informed them that no waiver needed to be filled out.

The police set up a time and place for Boyer to pick up the girls. When he arrived, the police arrested him after he attempted to flee and even tossed his phone out of his car.

Boyer is currently being held on $100,000 bail by the Fullerton Police Department. Police believe there may be other victims.
